Up for sale is a matched set of five (5) genuine Gorham sterling silver goblets, pattern number 272, each bearing a script monogram “M.” All five are hallmarked: “Gorham Sterling” with Gorham’s triple-shield marks, confirming authentic American sterling. These goblets feature a classic chalice form with a flared bowl, slender stem, and broad circular foot.
The set is substantial with a combined weight of 890 grams of sterling silver. They display normal age-appropriate wear and patina. Rims are round and intact, stems are straight, and there are no structural breaks or repairs visible.
This set is suitable for use, display, or investment. Because they are sterling and not plated, melt value alone (based on current silver spot pricing) supports a price well above scrap, so offers below melt value will not be accepted.
